The
story of most hip hop producers used to begin with spinning
turntables and years of being a DJ. This is no longer
the precedent. The tale of producer Jazdout begins with
years of sitting behind a music stand practicing the
trumpet. Performing, studying and taking lessons with
numerous private instructors in a time span of more
then ten years gave him a musical foundation that is
absent in most producers since the era of industry legend
Quincy Jones. On this foundation producer Jazdout has
begun to build a tower of burning hip hop beats and
instrumentals each laced with memorable melodies and
drum kits that are feared by the even the largest of
speaker systems.
Producing and developing the sound of up and coming
hip-hop artists gave Jazdout the opportunity to learn
his craft, and perfect his technique. " Even something
as simple as a beat is made up of musical elements.
It's my job to make those elements stand out and work
together for the artists and songwriters I work with.
", remarks producer Jazdout. The results of his
efforts have been rewarding and essential to the artists
he produces. MTV chose to close out its 2001 season
of "Undressed" with a 45-second clip of the
Latin flavored hip-hop track "Let Me Hit That"
performed by Long Island artist Seldom Seen. The broad
musical knowledge that has become the cornerstone to
the Jazdout sound has also allowed him to chart into
many other areas unknown to hip-hop producers. His latest
musical ventures have led him to the production of an
alternative rock artist and songwriter from Indiana
and also into the danceable sounds of trance and electronica.
In
the past 2 years producer Jazdout has become a contributing
writer to one of Europe’s best selling music production
magazines. The magazine, Computer
Music, has featured his articles and tutorials about
topics including hip hop drum programming, Digidesign
Protools, and MIDI. During this time he also began an
internship at New York’s popular Soundtrack
Studios. A year and half of hard work led him to
a position on staff as a manager, a position that he
still holds.
Its is with out a doubt that street corners and record
stores alike will soon be crawling with fans that have
become addicted to the memorable motifs and impacting
drum sounds of producer Jazdout's raging tracks.
